Good Morning Everyone,
Photo’s to follow!
Well, we have had a fantastic weekend; the workshops went so well, we had a ball!
Saturday was a very busy day, with a mixture of beautiful Irish ladies and stunning Scottish “Wee Doll’s” who created beautiful cards, ate a delicious lunch (s) and chatted like it was going out of fashion!
Sunday was a demonstration for just 2 hours, but we could have stayed for double that time, doesn’t time fly when you are having fun?
The only hiccup; so to speak was that our flights were cancelled coming home on Monday due to the Volcanic Ash Cloud; as we were staying at Ewan’s Mum and Dad’s house we didn’t get too down about it as it meant another few days with kind, generous and loving family!
We love visiting family, as most of Ewan’s are dotted around the world literally! Scotland, London, Ireland, America! It’s always a very special time when we get together, it was Carol’s (Ewan’s mum) fault that I got into crafting in the first place! One time when I was over at the Ireland house, she suggested that we have a play with some punches, so then began my addiction!
Friday we had an unexpected addition to the weekend, THE parcel turned up! Can you believe it? So now the craft groups in St Johnston will have some kits to work through when they all get back together after the summer break.
On the way home from the Airport (Derry – Donegal) we popped in the see the lovely Mary McAnaney, who is a very dear friend to both Carol and I. We had a good old natter and a cup of tea with the addition of some rarther nice biscuits!
Mary is the demonstrator for ”Stampin Up” Ireland, so we got out the catalogues, looked at the lovely stamps, Inks and cardstock and wondered how we could possibly get the WHOLE catalogue!!!
On Sunday before the Demonstration Ewan, Carol, John and I went for lunch at a lovely restaurant called “BiddyFields” near Letterkenny, a lovely Sunday Carvery was devoured by all four of us. Delish!
The weekend was so much fun, I think all the ladies enjoyed themselves, and learnt a lot of new techniques using Rubber Stamps. Another weekend is in the planning for towards the end of the year! I’ll keep you posted.
So Sunday is fast approaching, it’s my first workshop as Samuel Taylor’s Brighouse.
It’s Cuttlebug and I have put in some of the new Tim Holtz Alterations Dies, yum yum.
Will post some samples soon!!!
Bye for now
Love Sarah xxx
